| Grandmaster Wang Xian
One of the China GREAT FOUR 19th generation Chen Tai Chi Master, from the Chen Village, the home of the Chen Style Tai Chi, from which all other forms of tai chi originated.
Master Chen Zhaopei, an 18th generation advocate of the Chen old-frame (lao jia) system passed away in 1972. Chen Zhao Kui returned to the Chen Village to impart the new frame (xin jia) form and its applications passed down to him from his father, Chen Fake the famed 17th generation Chen Style standard bearer, who had moved to Beijing to spread the art.
This sparked a renaissance of the tai chi martial arts in the Chen village, from which spawned the present generation of China s Great Four Chen masters, Wang Xi an, Chen Xiao Wang, Chen Zheng Lei and Zhu Tian Cai.
Grandmaster Wang Xian is credited with preserving Chen Tai Chi during the cultural revolution.
He is the most notable representative of the 19th generation successors, he has been the driving force behind the popularization of Chen style as a martial art as his martial skill is legendary around the world.
